The Wheelbarrow Promo

The recent revitalization and release of The Wheelbarrow brings light to the Humanities Department of Lyon College, as the members of Lyon’s Eta Lambda Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta and other accomplished student staffers have collaborated to produce the first edition since 2018. Currently, the student-run literary magazine hosts the results of extracurricular and academic efforts within Lyon’s student body, and the featured pieces are works of visual art, poetry, and prose of current Lyon students. Due to its several-year-long hiatus, The Wheelbarrow may not be as well-known as other current publications, but it will soon grow and prosper at Lyon. Lyon community members, maybe you have read The Wheelbarrow cover to cover, or maybe you have never encountered it, but, either way, I encourage you to research the opportunities it provides students and the quality it presents to readers. Some of the student-related opportunities include, but are not limited to: obtaining editorial experience, sharing your work with the Lyon community and beyond, strengthening graphic design skills, creating interdisciplinary relationships with peers and faculty, and using this experience on your professional resume. Before the end of the semester, try to find or borrow a copy of The Wheelbarrow to support your peers, the Humanities Department, and Lyon College at large! It contains months of hard work and dedication, and is meant for your enjoyment!
